Demo vs Live
When it comes to the differences between a demo account and a real account, the results can be a bit staggering. Here is where some of the differences lie. When it comes to account that is a demo, it is most always brokered by a computer. A live account will not be brokered in this fashion. A human dealer is always involved with a live account unlike the demo account. A human dealer will also be involved with a live account in the event that there is a large sum of money involved or the account is flagged for actions by your broker. This can mean that your order execution can take several minutes.
In a demo account, the time will only take a second or so. Remember that the faster that the market moves, the longer your delay will be when it comes to placing orders. But these are not the only differences that you will spot between a live account and a demo besides what has already been mentioned. There can also be a delay if the market suddenly becomes volatile or if there is some kind of problem with your account. A live account will deal with real time and deal with a real human being when it comes to trades and their accuracy.
The demo account also will not check your order against the market when it is placed. It takes your order and sends it on the idea of the most available price that is available. This would not happen with a live account. When you are live on the market, you will get messages from your dealer saying one of two things. One of the first messages could be that that no price is currently available. They may also come back with an offer that may be significantly different from your original order.
A live account will have real time customer support in case you have a problem. While a demo account may have the same thing, the difference is in the details. It is much better to have a live account if you are planning on seriously having a Forex account and making some money. It is often better however if you are planning on starting in the Forex market then the demo would be in your best interests. This is why there are differences between an account that is a demo and a live account.
